Paul Evans

Dr. Evans is a specialist of Asian and trans-Pacific international relations. His first book was a biography of John Fairbank and his most recent Engaging China: Myth, Aspiration and Strategy in Canadian Policy from Trudeau to Harper (2014). Earlier, he directed research centres and programs at the University of Toronto and York University, Harvard, and UBC as well as served as Co-CEO of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. A frequent visitor to Hong Kong, he also taught courses in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Hong Kong in 2012 and 2013.
